I CARE is a self-development and a community service oriented organization. We think individuals can make a big difference and help benefit society at large; and undertake various community projects to meet this ideal. We believe in serving people irrespective of man-made prejudices of religion, race, caste, color, gender and nationality. We also believe in carrying out projects ourselves rather than acting as a funding agency. We hope someday to see a world that is socially just, at peace and tolerant, sensitive and nurturing to its neighbours and its environment; and hope to enthusiastically play our part in this dream.
Our current thrust is on trying to eradicate curable blindness (due to Cataract) from the rural poor and reach medical facilities for the same to people who otherwise would not have access / would not be able to afford the same. We operate under the auspices of:
